Philippine Martial Arts Combat Aikido (PHIMACA) took a very long time before it was established on the 3rd day of July 1997 by Grandmaster Enrico P. Tamayo (EPT), who was then a 3rd Dan black belt of PHILCOMA (Philippine Combat and Martial Arts Association) and a resident of Imus, Cavite, Philippines. He, who was a former instructor of PHILCOMA decided to form his own group so he can bring out various techniques in Combat Martial Arts. Combining his own style in Combat Aikido. The fact that he was once a soldier, a former instructor of Combat Aikido in MEGAFORCE at Camp Crame, a former Philippine Constabulary Officer and a Police Patrol Officer, coupled with his determination and confidence, he is very successful in promoting the club in Saudi Arabia. By that time, he manage to train six (6) brown belts trainees who are eager to become instructors of his own group.
In 2001 Master Eric Tamayo appointed Armando Igana as Officer in Charge of Riyadh (who rise from the ranks) when his job site was transferred from Riyadh to Al-Khobar by his company to which he successfully introduced PHIMACA to Saudi Arabia eastern region. In the year 2002 Master Tamayo went back to the Philippines for good and he handed the stewardship in the kingdom to Master Mandy Igana. It was in the year of 2003 that Master Mandy Igana assumed the full leadership of the club following the demise of our beloved Grandmaster and Founder Enrico P. Tamayo (Red & White Belt 8th Degree).
PHIMACA's first chapter in KSA is in Riyadh "Biak na Bundok" then it has grown to many chapters namely Aziziah, Exit 9, Malaz, Lada, Old Sinayah, Sulay, Kawasaki, Batha. PHIMACA has expanded to the entire Saudi Arabia, it had opened its chapters from the East to the West coast of Saudi Arabia. PHIMACA has chapter in eastern province starting from Al-Khobar, Dammam, Dharan, Jubail Al-Hassa, Huffof and Abquiq and in the western region PHIMACA had opened its chapters in Jeddah. PHIMACA's main base was in the central region in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and continue to expand more because of the fact that PHIMACA open its door to anybody who is eager to "learn and follow". It is also its nature to show its styles and techniques to all prospective individuals or group.
"It is important to note that Phimaca Combat is just a name and what is really important is the training and the growth into a complete martial artist."
